Clipboard and tingsha in hand, Carol-Lynne is a coordinator and facilitator who opens hearts and closes good deals. She brought 18+ creative women together in a room and created and held a safe container for the at first strangers to open themselves up emotionally and creatively for what is now celebrated in the spirit and creativity that is the AmplifyHER graphic novels and motion comics. A creative organizer, digital strategist and communications generalist, Carol-Lynne balances technical and administrative elements with creative and collaborative aspects of event management and social campaigns. Carol-Lynne co-founded TEDxVictoria, building the award winning event from the ground up into a sustained annual community enriching experience. Later while employed at the University of Victoria, she built and expanded the profile of their cultural centre, connecting campus to community via the arts. Still later, she saw a mayoral candidate elected as the campaign’s director of social media. She currently works as the digital media strategist for One Net and Ten One Films, bringing engagement and conversation to the multitude of projects flowing through the companies. In her spare time she works to catalyze creativity and connections in the documentary and media-making communities of Victoria and Vancouver, because she knows exactly how useful documentary media can be when used as a tool for community engagement on social issues.
