Originally from Singapore, Choom Lam moved to Canada in 2006 in order to attend the Classical Animation program at Vancouver Film School . Her animated short films include: “In the Beginning”; “Bobble & Sqweek”; “Rethink Happiness,” a public service announcement produced with a grant from Animation Block Party in New York; and, “Vampyros Lesbos,” a music video commissioned by French music producer Abstraxion. Choom’s films have been shown internationally in film festivals such as the Reel Earth Environmental Film festival in New Zealand, the Northwest Film Festival of Seattle, the British Animation Film Festival in London and the Animation Block Party in New York City.
